For podcasts alone, you can download www.ipodder.net for free. Then copy http://www.autismvoice.com/blog/Podcasts/index.xml and paste it into the "new feed" section. That's it.

It will download podcasts into your "my received podcasts" folder automatically. (A podcast is an internet radio show)

You can find the podcasts you downloaded by clicking on "my computer", then "my documents", then "my received podcasts".

If you want to put the podcasts into your mp3 player, click on the software program for your player and follow the instructions. It's usually as easy as connect your player and turn it on, then click and drag, but be sure to follow your player's instructions.

You might be able to download the podcasts right into your ipod or other mp3 player directly. I can't do that with my mp3 player, but I believe ipod and some other players allow this very convenient function.

If you want to receive articles and podcasts, you will need to get some newsreader software, such as FeedDemon. Look under the "What is RSS?" category on this blog for more information.

That's easy. Just go to www.autismvoice.com,

Click on the Podcasts category on the left, double click on a show you want to hear and then click the arrow on the playbar. The show should start playing shortly.

To listen to it later, you need to save it to your computer or to your mp3 player. Here's how:

1. Right click on the mp3 link. A little dialog box will pop up.

2. Then left click on "save target as...". Now the "save as" dialog box will pop up.

3. Then select where on your computer you want it to go by clicking on the specific place you like best.

4. Click the "save" button at the bottom.

Where you put the file is up to you, but I suggest you pick a place you can find it again easily, like desktop, received files, my documents / music, or something similar. Some people can save it directly into their mp3 player, which is very convenient.
